Will the Humminbird 757 accept Lakemaster maps?

I believe so, with the new update that allows Humminbirds to run the new LakeMaster chips now avalable.

The updates are available after registering a new product on there site. Other new mapping tools are also available after registering your product, so it pays to do so.

I would check the Humm'r site for a list of all the models that will take the new update, just to be sure.

This may be helpful, but it does not answere if they do take the upgrade or not. I know it can't to the SI upgrade, but the mapping, I think it can.

Yeah, I saw the email from Lakemaster and the 757 is not on the list. That's why I was asking.

Anyone know if that means it will not be able to update and run the new LakeMaster ever, or just not available on the update list as of yet?

Ya..some deals for sure...I have been digging and so far no real solid answers to if it will be up-datable. Still I not sure why not...unless it does not have enough internal memory to spare to pull it off, that may be it too. They don't say no, and nobody has said yes....so...??? But I was told the list would be updated further..so it kinda leaves ya hanging?

It was only some models. I'm still waiting for my 997 and 917. They're supposed to be out about 1/10.

Perchy ...your in the know on all things Hummer? Any news if the 757 is able or will be able to get the LakeMaster update?

I have not heard anything specific to the 757, the only info I have is what is posted on line.

My guess --- and only a guess on my part so maybe it is way off --- is that they are concentrating their resources on their most popular current units and their new units (ie. the units currently on the list) --- and on developing some uses for their new network port --- so it would not surprise me if the 757 doesn't get any resources for the update. Conspiracy theorists would also point out that's a good way to sell more new units. But hopefully my guess is wrong and they will come out with the update for the 757, or at least provide an answer for those who have that unit.

Ya that is kinda what I think too.

With the new 800 series looming, that would be a very good bet I would also guess.
