Hats off to my boy Zack. While living there and attending nearly 100 Royals games, quite a few he started, I knew he would win one someday. He is very, very good. It is too bad they can't get that team going. Twins are my #1 love, but I like the Royals as well.

He's the type of guy that will absolutely fall apart with the yankees. I doubt he'll stay a royal, but I also doubt he'll ever go to the yankees.

But definitely a big congratulations to him! I'm glad the voters went with what was right and not what was popular (sabathia). Gives me a good feeling the mvp will go to mauer instead of jeter.

I actually see Arod getting it this season before Jeter, primarily because of his postseason hitting. But hopefully Joe wins it and we won't have to worry about it

i'm pretty sure that all of the awards are voted on before the playoffs start. for some reason they wait until after the world series is done to announce everything. they probably want to hang onto some headlines a little longer into the winter.
