A couple from the last North Dakota trip

Thanks, I'm quickly learning that you can not take a camera into the field duck hunting and expect to actually shoot ducks... now I just leave the shotgun or the camera in the truck. Trying to do both is usually just a disaster for me.

I used to do that. There were actually times I had a buck coming in and I had to decide whether it was more important to pick up the gun and fill the freezer or pick up the camera and fill the viewfinder. Because pics of deer are a dime a dozen when it comes to pro wildlife photography, I opted for the gun so we had winter meat. Now I just keep one body and a wide angle and flash in the pack to take pics of the aftermath, or to capture a cool landscape photo. In this case you can really only serve one master at a time if you hope to serve that master well.
