I've been hearing about this device for a while now and it appears to be a kissing cousin of the HTC EVO that is coming to Sprint sometime this year when looking at the core specs.

I dunno....I might have to jump ship to an Android device yet if Blackberry doesn't get with the program. Their devices are great but a little outdated now and it might be a while before a device with OS 6.0 is released. I still think I'd miss the physical keyboard that my Tour has, along with Blackberry Messenger.

Some people aren't too keen on HTC phones. The new Samsung Galaxy looks impressive too but appears to be going to ATT.

I got to say I have had my Droid for a couple months now and I couldn't be happier. It gets better all the time too. New apps everyday and having all the Google stuff is a bonus too. There is a lot more too it than I ever thought.

With 2.1 getting multitouch and a couple other extras, its pretty awesome. Google sky is sweet I got to say.

The incredible looks nice. Its going to be hard to not jump on that phone. HTC seems to be setting the bar right now.

I think I'm going to have to wait for the droid 2 though. A better physical keyboard and 4g will be sweet. I'm sure there will be even better hardware by then too. I heard the processor samsung is usung in their 4g phone is much better than the snapdragon. So who knows in 6 months what we will have available.

The Galaxy will have the same 1GHz Snapdragon processor as the other new Android phones that are coming out (Incredible and EVO).

I just read a report that the Galaxy is coming to not only ATT, but Sprint, Verizon, and T-Mobile as well! I can't believe it would be on all the major carriers, but if so that's good news. June is the expected drop for all of the carriers except for Verizon who will supposedly get it later in the year. Should be an exciting summer in the Android arena.

Slightly off topic here but what are you guys using for Weather Radar apps on your phones... My-Cast which was awesome and free is no longer an option as far as I can tell.

WCCO has a free app on the market. It has news, sports, weather on a sliding menu. They have a few different radar options, mostly close ups.

I still use intellicast on the browser for the state wide radar view.

Kare11 metro radar seems clearer to view also for the close up 7 county view.

I have the weatherbug elite app and have been pretty happy with it. All the other stuff is available via the browser too but so far weatherbug has been the most intuitive I have found. It was only 1.99 so it was cheaper than a coffee which is good. I have tried all the others I could find and it seems to work the best. The weather channel free app was OK but it seems like they get it wrong a lot.

On my old g'zone's I did the monthly fee weather channel and I also had accuweather. They were both OK.

The radar has saved me quite a few times. The most memorable was a really nasty storm on trout lake in the bwcaw just north of vermillion. I was able to leave a couple hours early and miss it completely. Its so much nicer to pack out in calm/dry weather vs a mini hurricane.

In the android store there is a app called Radar Now that is exactly what you are asking for Dtro. Just radar, no ancillaries.

I like having somewhat of a forecast myself but I got to say I have been very happy with the radar on weatherbug too. I like having lightning strikes on the map and they at give that option. I don't melt from rain but I imagine that getting hit with lightning would be a rude way to end the day.

GPS question for you guys.

I have the Hero from Sprint (which is the Eris at Verizon i believe)

On the main screen it has the Time, the date, the weather and the location that I am in.

When I first got the phone, the location was always pretty accurate. Now it seems it is a town or two off...and in some cases as in now about 25 miles off.

I also noticed when I was the sprint navigation, that it did't show me being on the right street.

Is there a way to synch it up or anything else that might get it back on track. Anyone else notice this?
