Still weird to think of since I could have comfortably wore shorts yesterday.

BTW, I was laid off in december and decided to go to college. I am 34, my question is- what is up with these young people these days?? The same guy that wears a stocking cap in july wears shorts in december. It blows my mind.

Northlander, I drilled though 8" of ice today. It was in a bucket from my freezer to test drill Nils blades.

Ha, with this goofy weather we could have fishable ice in two weeks or two months. The leaves barely turned color then froze and are turning brown on the tree. Still are a lot of green ones left too. In a normal year they should all be on the ground right now.

Let's hope current forecasts hold. The 15-day forecast for the Brainerd area has

5 days that have sub 20-degree lows...

6 days with the highs under 40-degrees...

11- days with lows below freezing

Hopefully this willl be a great prelude to some very cold mid-november weather to get us out there early...
