Velcro coat hangers for portables.

I'm looking to get a few of those velcro coat hangers that go around the poles and I can't remember who makes them.

Any DIY ideas to make them yourself?

I picked up these hooks at Menards for about $1 each, in the landscape dept. Works great for hanging another in the portable.

I cut a couple of them in half and will rebend one end to make shorter hooks.

I got some S hooks at a hardware store --- about 2" long I guess --- and zip-tied them to the roof poles in my flip over. They work great, they stay there all the time and work great for holding rod bags, jackets, plastic bags with food or garbage, etc.

I use plastic Zip Ties the ones I use are heavy duty reuseable ones.

I use thicker stainless steel TIG welding rods. Wrap it around the pole and bend into a hook on the other end.

Side note, I weld a lot of stainless so I have quite a few TIG rod stubbys laying around. Not something I would go out and buy just to use as a hanger.

Frabill makes the velcro hooks, have 2 in my otter and love them.

Yup...there the new Frabill design accessory hangers that came out last season.

They work very well with the wide heavy duty Velcro straps... fits on the smaller conduit tubing, and also fits the heavy 1.25" tubing on the X-2's, X-4's, and Frabill Predators.

I like that they don't fall down the holes if you forget to remove them like others often will.

I just leave them on, they stay were you put them. They fit tight vertical or horizontal, a very adaptable system.

They also work well to hold rope lights in place.

I use the "As seen on TV" plastic hangers that have the hook at each end, with the 4 holes in the middle...you can swing them down, or leave both ends "hooked up" to utilize the middle holes.
