Jig4All
I wanted to see if anyone had received their lottery doe permits for areas in MN that went lottery this year. I am hunting 246 and haven't heard yet. Thanks.

echotrail
The anterless permit cards (size of a postcard) have been sent out. I think you can go onto the DNR HSOforum where you will find a link to enter your hunting lic or driver license # to see if you were chosen. Not imposible that a card could have gotten lost in the mail.
huskie0302
Do you know how many doe permits they gave out for 246. I hunt that too and we got 1 for 5 on doe permits.
Jig4All
There were 4,000 permits for 246. I used the lookup function on the DNR site and I guess I wasn't drawn. Our party went 0-2 this year. Should be interesting. The lookup app is here: http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/licenses/lotteries/antlerless.html
HOT SPOT
I no this is a little out of what you guys are talkin about but I want to see what you guys think:Is it just me are is it stupid what the DNR has done. I have spent a lot of time bow hunting, and I no that area that I hunt is way down on the does. When the DNR hand out 5 manament tags what do they think will happen? I cant fugure out what they were trying to do. I no one thing Hunting has gone down hill for everthing. In a few WPA they cut down all the tree's to save a few prarie chickens. Well their are no ducks in those slughs any more and going from a great deer spot to a poor spot. And look at the phesants, PATHEDIC we had how many mild winters and they didnt do a dang thing to help them.Is anybody else frusterated whith what they have done? To me MN has the Worst system that I have sceen compaired to other states

To me MN has the Worst system that I have sceen compaired to other states hot spot, if you really want some comments on tree cutting you should start a new post, very few people will see this. WPA's - Waterfowl Production Areas - are managed by the Federal Fish and Wildlife service, not the DNR. The feds just think about ducks, to heck with anything else. I agree with your comments on Prairie chickens too, they spend thousands of dollars managing for a 100 bird prairie chicken season when they could put that money into some corn food plots and double the number of pheasants. I had a good chuckle when I read an article this summer about pheasants laying their eggs in prairie chicken nests, and since the pheasants have a 21 day incubation vrs a 23 day incubation for p. chickens, guess who wins out. SM1
Sounds like my group got lucky in 246; we ended up 2 for 4 on doe permits. Im right on the cw river and a stones throw across is a 5 deer area.I have had my notification post card for over a week now.
