If I'm at the cabin that weekend I may try to swing by...

I have a reputation as being anti-spearing, although I'm not really...I grew up spearing. I just don't do it anymore. I love the decoys though, and there are some pretty good carvers up in that area. I think spearing decoys rank right up there with duck decoys as some wonderful examples of Midwestern folk art - beautiful, functional art. I have a few I've gathered over the years that I count as prized possessions. Even if you don't spear, shows like this are really cool just for the craftsmanship on display. Well worth checking out.

I might have to wear a disguise so I don't get rolled in the parking lot, ( ) but I hope I can check it out...

WestRidge Mall from 9 am to 5 pm.

I think the National Fish Decoy Association is putting it on.

They put most of these shows on.

Too bad you can't make it Fish.

I hear ya fish toys. I helped my brother chop corn silage over the weekend. Slithering across sidehills with a tractor, chopper and a full forage box...not fun.
