I have a reputation as being anti-spearing, although I'm not really...I grew up spearing. I just don't do it anymore. I love the decoys though, and there are some pretty good carvers up in that area. I think spearing decoys rank right up there with duck decoys as some wonderful examples of Midwestern folk art - beautiful, functional art. I have a few I've gathered over the years that I count as prized possessions. Even if you don't spear, shows like this are really cool just for the craftsmanship on display. Well worth checking out. Where is it located just incase????? I hear ya fish toys. I helped my brother chop corn silage over the weekend. Slithering across sidehills with a tractor, chopper and a full forage box...not fun.
