Portable Garge/Carport

Hello all,

Does anyone have experience with a portable garage / carport that they sell at some of the big box stores? I am looking for something to put up to put my 4-wheeler under in the winter to keep the snow off. There are all kinds on the internet but I was hoping to support a local company and buy direct in MN. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I have one from a company called CoverIt. It is not the same brand that is sold by the big box stores.

This one has help up great! Dad and one that was peaked and it didn't last as long. the seams came apart at the peak.

I would go with the rounded ones and you should have no problem.

The Cover-it brand are pretty good. I had 6 of them for temporary storage and had them for 5 years then gave them away when I no longer needed them. I think all are still is use and the company even replaced the ends on some of them. Tried one from the big box stores. OK but not as good as the Cover it. The big box ones need a board to fasten to on the ground. Cover it do not. Cover it much more rigid. Big Box ones are kind of floppy but once you get them all together, if you follow the directions, will firm up. We would just tie the cover to the boat once we got the boat inside to keep the whole thing from flying away in the wind.

I bought two from the big box stores. I have the round ones that are vinyl.

The one at home is in the woods and is like brand new. It has the white inside which I recomend. The one at the lake is toast. The sun has done a job on it and will have to be replaced.

How long did the one at the lake last?

I had one from menards that worked good for the money until it ended up in a tree during a wind storm.

I believe the one at the lake is 5 years old. Not a bad investment.
