Half moon

It seems like a long time since the moon has been around when I've been able to shoot it so I thought I'd take advantage of the clear skies tonight and see what I could get. I think this is one of the best I've been able to get yet.

I used the Nikon D300, Sigma 150-500, Kenko Pro 300 1.4 TC and a very cheap tripod to get this capture.

Thanks everyone. Tonight is supposed to be clear and another 10% of the moon should be visible so I'm going to see what I can get this time. Winter is coming soon, it may be months until I get another clear shot at the moon. smile

Thanks!

I shot it again tonight, same hardware, different settings. One day really changes the shadows and texture on the moon, a lot more than I thought it would.
