slabchaser
my clock reads 9am. You know what that means. A week to the minute until you can shoot ducks.

Maxxed Out
I've got a buddy in western MN I just got off the phone with and he said the sloughs were filled with water and ducks this morning. Next week will be long.
broken_line
this wil be the longest week the entire year and those last 10 min when the ducks are flying like nuts will be the worst! im trying not to think about it so it comes faster but its hard! Frank Boling 41
From the data I'M looking at next weekend could be rainy and very cool with a major SW/trough moving up from the southern plains,850 mb temps on one model has the 0 degree celsius line as far south as central MN,think that model is a bit on the cool side though...Wind profiles for this time frame look a bit on the high side, but it's still early in the game, all in all looks to be great weather next weekend,if you're duck that is. chub
Just got done with a tour of western MN, and I'm surprised by how few ducks I saw. Few pockets here and there, but overall, it appeared down in numbers to me.Lots of standing water in fields.Could make things interesting. Stringerless!
That means a week to the minute or I guess it will be about 8:50 when I have to cup my hands and start yelling at people for shooting early !
carpshooterdeluxe
I've got a buddy in western MN I just got off the phone with and he said the sloughs were filled with water and ducks this morning. Next week will be long. SOME sloughs are filled with water...some are nearly dry. just a heads up guys, dont go out blind saturday morning without checking things out friday night. you might be surprised to see how low some areas are. our wetland was over chest deep this spring and now its knee deep in the deepest hole, and a grass flat around it.
