I was praying for Gardy to pinch hit for Punto last night in the 7th. Turns out the head coach knows more about baseball than I do. Punto delivers a liner to score game winning 2 runs after battling off all those foul balls.

Percentages are that even the sparest of spares will have a streak of luck. Fortunately for the Twins it is now when the team needs him the most. He's still a mediocre bench player.

I think that we should be looking at the contributions of O. Cabrera. Dude is money in the field and dugout and a bonus at the plate. I hope the Twins come up with a two- or three-year deal for him.

I have never been a punto fan! Just dont seem like a guy that will help a team out! Thank god he got a lucky hit last game!

Wow guys he is a leader on this team. He can play and has played everywhere. I believe they said last nite after the game, that the Twins have had good winning percentages when he is playing every day, either at 3rd, short or 2nd. His bat has been iffy this year, but has stepped it up lately. Oh and by the way that was NOT a lucky hit, he earned it as he workrd the count in his favor.

Twins radio guys were bashing Cabrera's glove yesterday. Said his fielding has been below average. Not your typical Twins guy. Can't say for myself, since I cut my tv when I lost the job. Also caught part of a Bremer interview on a local station. He said the new guys were very impressed with the Twins team and clubhouse atomosphere.
