Where do you hunt in Aitkin? I have a shack in McGregor thickest rice in that area in years.

Hitting our pond near Mankato, saw tons of woodies and mallards working the pond last weekend setting up our blinds. Also maybe if they arent flying at nine well go jump some river spots. Good luck to all and stackem up!

Skipping Minnesota and heading to Rugby NoDak. 6 ducks and I am looking at taking my first swan! I find myself counting the days and can't wait!!

Carpshooter, that sounds like a blast. We did the same thing a couple months ago, but golfed instead of trap. Dont puke in the bus or it costs $100.

Same as last 10 years, till the garden under and wait for Sunday morning to hunt geese, I walked a mile long stretch of riverbank last night and saw 8 wood ducks. Very few birds in my area even with a so called refuge, last weekend there were maybe 20 ducks on it, but 200 honkers.

Headin to the MN river valley south of Sacred Heart. Hopefully waste a box or 2 of shells at some woodies and teal. Looks like it will be a beautiful opener in west central MN. Hope things are movin!

Leech lake area for me again this year on the opener. Last year we found a small lake and had it all to ourselves. I have never experienced that before and it was great.

heading to westcentral mn for a little "duck down daze" with some friends. Should be a fun weekend in duck camp. Lets hope we can hunt like the memories from last year.

Carlos Avery. Should be a VERY interesting year. We are in a terrible drought in east central MN. There is very little water out there. Some of the pools are completely dry.

Yes. We have been going out of moonlight for the last 5 or 6 years. This may be our last year though. My hunting partner built a place on Pelican in Orr.

Pelican lake...lol... I would bring a bullet proof vest, helmet, and boat if heading there, and friday night after supper might be a good time to leave. Nothing like hunting ducks in MN...

I'll be jump shooting woodducks in North Central MN. Teal too if there are any left after this cold front. We usually get a few random other puddle ducks and the occasional diver or goose as well, but it is mostly woodies. I'm hoping for a real mature drake to finally get mounted this year. 2nd weekend is up to northern big water in search of some divers.
