After beating our heads against the wall over and over again the past several days with not a whole lot of fish to talk about, it was more than welcomed to see a bit of rainfall and a slight cooldown.

Of course we have to keep at it right?

John and I went out tonight and first had a little fun with his boat for a little bit, then decided to toss out the "small rods" for a change of pace.

It's amazing how low the water is on some spots, and it is quite evident here in this picture laugh :

Yep, we ran that whitewater a couple of times! John says, "that was easy".

I must admit, the pucker factor was off the chart for a short time there. shocked

Then it was time to get down to business. John was "bound and determined" to catch his first bobber flathead, and catch one he did!

Then it was my turn....sans bobber:

and then a nice finish to the night with a dandy MN river Channel (which was a nice little KOTC upgrade for myself)

Perhaps a little better bite has commenced.....
