lovebigbluegills
Just curious is all, I've never seen any bears in that area. I think it's pretty neat that they spread out that much.
superbee
If you upload them to a site like photobucket.com, then you can post them off of the direct link to the photo. If you email it to me, I can post it for you.
Boar
Yea it can be tough, There are good bears around here. They love the river bottoms. I hunt in the poplar river system. I've been done on opener, done the first of oct. an been skunked. So every year it's a real crapshoot. boar

Basseyes
Started our baiting on Saturday putting 5 baits out. Ate lunch at camp. Went back out to put a camera on one and it had been hit in less than 3 hours. Went back up today and 3 out of 5 got hit. The raspberries are still going but starting to taper off. I have oaks in my yard that I rake up the acorns from and broadcast up on our property where we only have one oak. Last year the oaks at home hardly dropped at all. This year they are dropping hard and heavy. The bait farther from the good raspberry patches got hit hard. A couple of the baits in good raspberry areas got hit but they didn't clean them out. The one stand on the edge of a great raspberry area with some blue berries didn't even get touched.2 of my boys are hunting bears for the first time this year. Has been very fun watching my the kids eyes open wide when we came back to the one bait and it had been hit hard in less than 3 hours. I'm sure we pushed it off the bait to put the camera up and he was close. That got the blood pumping.Good luck to everybody.
superbee
Picture of a bear at one of Boars' sites, what do you think this one weighs?
maros91
I am a bad estimator at weight but it looks like to be a nice bear. Can't tell if the belly is sinking down or not.Checked my baits today. 3 of 4 hit. I think one site has a big boar at hit judging by the claw marks on the logs and the way the logs are thrown far away from the site, showing dominance. The first day I can hunt is the 2nd so I hope all this good baiting continues for another week.
