korn_fish
I just looked at their HSOforum. And when I looked at this part http://www.treesuit.com/shooting.htmI would have to say that it doesn't look like it would be good because it appears that if the deer comes in from behind, you have to twist your body around to get a shot. Where as a standard tree stand, you stand up, turn and shoot. This doesnt look comfortable and I can't imagine it would allow you to be stable enough to aim properly.Just my two cents. For teh $65 dollars I will stick to the hanging tree stands. I picked 8 hanging stands up at the end of the season for 40 a peice. Got a climbing for 75. With the tree suit, your limited to the shape of the tree just like you can be with a climbing tree stand. If Im going to be in a tree for a few hours, I need someplace to set my backpack and have some snacks close by. <IMG src="Mvc-008f11.jpg" width="133" height="179" border="0">

visinc
Hello thanks guys for the input but I would like to know from someone who has either tried one or knows of someone who has tried one.All the responses are from persons giving opinions on the product they have never tried! If you have tried it please respond!I have actually purchased one and have tried it out and seems very comfortable. I am going to hunt with it next week and I will post my opinion after trying to harvest a deer with it.Thanks anyways for the feedback just not the feedback from a user of the product which I am looking for. Guest
Think of all the noise you will be creating squirming around trying to get into shooting position.

visinc
Hey Guys,Just wanted to post update on the treesuit. I used one on Friday hunting, I thought it was extremely comfortable much more than any hang on stand I have used in the past, I began hunting 7:00am finished at 7:15 p.m. and harvested a very nice Doe. So I am batting 1000% using the treesuit 1 Day 1 Deer. My only negative with the suit is having to stand on your screw in steps when ready for the shot, but they now sell a 4 pound platform. I think I am going to try the platform not to climb with, but to use as a platform when getting to my hunting level. I will use the screw in steps or climbing stick to climb with. I am glad I gave it a try and not listened to previous posts. I will give it try next week again to see if I have the same success. korn_fish
sounds like you are trying to market these things...you must get a kickback or something
visinc
The only kick back I am getting is the satisfaction of helping to inform other hunters of a new product. Don't judge a product until you have at least tried it.
BigRoy
HMMMMMMM- Anyone else tried this stand out? Looks like my rollies would get sore from leaning up against the tree all day. Looks kinda cool though.
buckseeker
sounds good visinc. nice harvest. have you practiced shooting from it? i find it very hard to have that much top body movement when shooting. i prefer a solid stance and anchor. i have missed deer while in ground blinds trying to lean into the window. from a platform stand i have never missed due to free movement of the lower rather then the upper. allthough i strongly believe others testimonials rather then literature writen about a product. thanks for the input and keep us posted on all harvests. visinc
Hello buckseekerActually I had only worked with the treesuit a week getting into trees and sitting before last Friday and had never practiced shooting out of it. The thing I noticed was when standing close to the tree the deer didn't even sense I was there at only 15 yards away. In the past with other hang on stands if I wasn't hiden good with tree cover the deer would more often than not catch a glimse or sense I was around. Maybe the next time will be different I don't know. The thing I like the most other than the size and weight compared to other stands is the sense of safety and comfort when you can lean away from the tree when waitng on the deer to walk into your shooting lane. It is hard to explain but it was the first time using it and I felt like it could replace my other deer stands. That being said it is no were near as comfortable as a tree lounge (my previous stand) but much easier to hike in with (weight) and set up (noise) and does not restrict you on the tree you can hunt from like the tree lounge (climber style). I feel after using it on Friday it was comfortable enough were I can hunt in it all day, and that is very important in my book if wanting to harvest a deer. When purchasing it I thought, they are going to give me a 30 day money back guarantee to try out this stand so I gave it a try, I was very sceptical, but after using it I am sold thus far on it, I am still waiting for the climber to arrive to try out.I will keep you posted on future deer hunts.
