Fill flash practice

5 posts in this topic

The wife went to see her extended family today, and I opted to go birding. whistle Our daughters' families were here yesterday and one get together is enough. wink

Anyway, the skies were gloomy today, so I thought it would be a good day to have some practice with my flash.

Normally, I'd prefer to have a bird posing in a tree, but with the gray skies I was glad to find the Flicker in the grass. The last Flicker shot is just to show you the shape of the red marking.

Nice shots X!

What flash do you use and how do you set it up for these type shots?

Thanks, guys.

Mr. Magnum, I use the 430EX II with the Better Beamer. I shot it on ETTL at -1 1/3 or -1 stop and high speed shutter.
