Auger Blade Sharperner

10 posts in this topic

I looked back 12 pages, couldn't find a topic on this. I was wondering where I could get my blades sharpend. I've tried it my self but I don't think it's working too well. I live in Savage/Burnsville area wondering if theres anywhere in my area that does this.

Thanks

If they are old I would just replace them. Sharpening works, but is not as nice as new ones. Not too expensive either way.

If you have tried to sharpen them and it does't seem to be working it may be time to pick up a new set.

Depending on the brand, they may offer a trade-in on sharp recycled blades. They'll send you newly sharpened ones from someone else's auger, you send yours back, they sharpen em and repeat the process with someone else.

I would check with your local bait shop to see if they have an exchange program set up, this may be your best option.

dspohn, I brought the post I think you were looking for to the top. FM'er 'Surface Tension' may be up to the challenge.
