Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

Yellowhead

metro locations for yellowheaded black birds?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know where I can find Yellowhead blackbirds in metro area. I need to get some photos. There used to be a colony on spring lake (Scott county) but I didn't see any last time I was there.

Yellowhead, thanks for signing up! Great to have you on HSO/FM and the bird watching board.

Yellow-headed blackbirds may be common in some parts of the metro, but they feed primarily on an invertebrate that needs pretty clean water, so it can be hit or miss.

Someone will no doubt chime in with a few exact locations pretty soon.

I've seen some out by Silver Lake. I don't remeber what time of year it was so they may have just been passing thru. None by me, I know that for sure.

I've seen them on Spring lake this year next to prior lake as well as Cedar Lake and Fish lake just south of there.

    • Haven’t really posted on here all year, but here goes. It was an absolutely terrible season for me. I work 14 days then I’m off 7 days, and my 7 days off fell just so that I was only able to get out twice in November and then 5 days last week. Thankfully, last week made up for it and we shot some incredible trophies including 9 cinnamon teal, several mottled ducks, tons of perfect teal and even a hen Goldie and hen can, which are really weird for the salt. It’s really been a ball figuring out these coastal waters for the last 4 seasons, and I’m still learning new stuff every time I go out
    • I've hunted "A" a few times.  This season has accounted for the easiest and hardest hunts for me to date.  I've gone to hunting the middle seasons and find the birds more predictable.   I've had some great hunts late season as well.  My credo is hunt when you can....
    • Yes...yes it is.....way cheaper then a 10in Nils at $360.
    •     Sounds like a great time. Our day was ok as well, but different!  First time Ice fishing with my son in about 10 years. Still got to use the sled but hope to hit the trails yet some where this winter.
    • Nice house. You got yourself a lake whitefish, not a tullibee (cisco). Downturned mouth is a dead giveaway.
    •   I could only wish......
    •   Ooooooh this sounds good. Add some diced peppers and onions and you might have something......   Ummmm, maybe a Grain Belt instead. I had some iced tea in the picture.   Hot sauce, yes but no ketchup! I try to avoid the toast for carbohydrate reasons.
    • I finally got the new sled out Friday, palisade area, all trails were groomed, but not much for base. the best riding was in the ditch, and riding the river. 70 miles put on, and have to say, I am happy with the new sled.
    •  Great day today riding the NSST ,,, Freshly groomed trail,,,, comfortable temps ,,,, small group ,,,few other sleds on the trail,,,, good burger at the trestle ,,, 145 miles and no body aches ,,, life is good
    • http://6abc.com/sports/nfl-prematurely-promotes-vikings-patriots-super-bowl/2968550/ Well yeah... they're the two best teams by a mile.     checked it out dont see that..    Pat's out......................
