Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

Opening day for grouse in the arrowhead I missed 3 birds and did not shoot at 4 due flying low over Finn. It was foggy raining but I did see 4 moose and a big black wolf. According to my phone I hiked 10.7 miles.

sunday started off cloudy but the sun came out. The first trail about 30 yards from the car Finn flushed a grouse it flies up and straight down the trail bang one for one. Finn flushed 3 more birds on that trail but never saw them. The next trail we were walking down a grouse flew down in front of us and the grouse tried to hide in the clover in the middle of the tire tracks. Finn flushed it and went straight up and landed in a tree. Haha dumb bird I made a nice head shot and Finn made the retrieve.   We put on 9.8 miles but I left my phone in the car on two trails. Finn flushed a few more birds but I never fired a shot as they were to low or never seen them. For grouse numbers as high as the dnr said they must not have a great hatch or something. I was hoping to get some young dumb birds for Finn but we did not find them.

Ya he comes home the 29th getting excited for pheasant going to take a trip out to sodak this year

Ended up showing a guy from work who is a first time bow hunter a couple of my spots in Sherburne. Was going to walk kunkel after for grouse but it ended up getting too late so just went home.

Was hoping for some good weather this weekend but doesn't look too good. Friday is a high of 90! no thanks

Maybe I will get a morning sit in for deer hunting if the rain cooperates

Where ya going? Numbers are pretty bad this year... I would suggest looking at Edmunds or Faulk county if you haven't already locked in somewhere.

No clue yet somewhere with a cheap motel and some public land

    • If Stanley’s question is pointed at me:  I can’t tell ya anything yet.  I haven’t dug into mine any further.  It is the factory installed unit and would like to just replace what is broken but I find sometimes getting parts for DIY RV fixes can be obnoxiously tough.  I’ve done my electrical troubleshooting to the point of knowing it’s broken. I did learn something new about our 2016 wheelhouse the night before deer opener though:  There is a safety that won’t allow the heater to run while the trailer lights are hooked to the truck.   Took me a while to figure that out.  I read the manuals and didn’t see why it wouldn’t go into the ignition cycle so I called the dealer and got a little infuriated when the only comment I got was “Too tough to troubleshoot over the phone. Bring it in”.  Really? So I tore it out!  I found there was a rocker switch on the module and a wire that stated in order to perform a POT test, the coach needed to be disconnected.  So I disconnected the trailer lights, cycled the switch and the next try it worked just fine. Put everything back together and it hasn’t missed a beat.  I found my 15 amp trailer light fuse in the truck popped too. Seems like that was something that could’ve easily been mentioned over the phone.
    • Fred has a "thing on the floor"...his feet, but no push buttons. Maybe Wilma has the push buttons....
    • Deer cart for sure. You can save some money and make your own game cart - https://catchthemeasy.com/build-dependable-game-cart/ Or, if you would rather just save time like myself then just buy one
    • me thinks some one is having fun with push buttons!!
    • Feel free to explain how you keep food out of the danger zone while using sous vide when you are cooking at temperatures in the danger zone for many hours.
    • I have a feeling PIYA is an acronym. Maybe it stands for Pain In Your A@@.
    • Yes and it sucks. Putting a pro view in Lp mode in shallow water means you are going to have a narrower cone. (Because LP mode is low power which is a 50% cut in power which less power equals narrower cone on a pro view)  To get a wide cone angle and sharp returns in shallow water is impossible with a pro view. To get a narrow cone in deep water if you need the gain up it is impoosible with a pro view. basicly the pro view cant do what a person wants. Which is a wide beam low gain/lp mode in shallow water and a narrow cone higher gain in deep water.
    • Ya! What Del said!  " had a thing on the floor ..."
