eyeguy 54 Posted April 27, 2017 Share Posted April 27, 2017 Saw a cute little bird out on the feeder and it looks to be an immature Golden Crowned Sparrow. Small yellow spot on the head and dont ever remember seeing that. Maybe I will get lucky and it will pose. First sighting of one for me. eyeguy 54 Posted April 28, 2017 Author Share Posted April 28, 2017 kinda wondering the same thing. looks exactly like the pic in the book I have and it is labeled as immature so I am just going by that info. have not seen another since it was here 2 days ago. Found this pic online showing the first winter of the youngster. This is what I saw. Probably would be getting more color this summer would be my guess.
