Naturboy
Ok I'm new to kayaking so thought it would be nice to have a list of day trips people have taken and Liked. So maybe you could post the name of river or stream, where to put in and take out and a short description on how long of float it is, what kind of fishing to expect, shaded through woods or open prairie stream. eyeguy 54

Stick in Mud
As eyeguy says, the Miss is always a good bet. The Sauk is a favorite of mine, but it can be rocky and in recent years has gotten pretty weedy as summer wears on. eyeguy 54
jbell1981
The Rum River is fun anywhere from St. Francis to Anoka. Probably fun north of there to, but I've never done it. It's been quite a few years since I've been on it, but was all no-wake and assume it still is so you don't have to worry much about big boats. eyeguy 54 and Naturboy
Grainbelt
My wife and I like to float down the Crow from Rockford to the Mississippi. Hardly anyone on the river except Bald Eagles. Found some nice chicken of the woods mushrooms last summer. eyeguy 54 and Naturboy
