knoppers
this has the EFI, sled was running great, then it started running like a plug was fouling out, would run good at slower speeds, bad in midrange, then once and while it would start running good again at higher RPM. then I noticed the sled was using up gas fast, so I went straight home. when I shut it down steam was coming out of the hood vents, I opened hood, and there was gas everywhere, even on the hood. I am thinking it must be the fuel injectors or the rail that goes over the top. anyone ever had this problem, any idea what is wrong, and would it be a easy fix? leech~~
No ideas but how did you not smell gas when running? I seem to pick up the smell of raw gas pretty easy when leaks happen.
MN Mike
Geez..... scarey stuff knoopers... Cat has had some issues with gas tanks over the years but mostly the filler necks BUT there are some others out there seeing failures in another area. Cat Tank Just an idea..... Walleyehooker
Sounds like you have a major leak somewhere. Shouldn't be hard to find if you fire it up for a short time

knoppers
picked it up today, nothing wrong, just did some work on the fuel line that goes into the fuel rail, and they also shimmed the clutch, as it was sloppy. only 95 bucks seemed cheap after paying 48 bucks more for the gallon of oil.
