FishingWebGuy
A TRUE STORY FROM... "THE HOUSTON HERALD NEWSPAPER" IN HOUSTON , TEXAS MARCH 5th, 2009<snip> AMENLove it...."cause it only clicked the seventh time...." Unfortunately in Minn you would be going to jail for a long time for shooting someone in the back who is running away from you - whether they have your paycheck or not. In Texas you are not forced to be a victim -- unlike Minnesota.
fish-n-fool
Don't own a gun anyways, myself.. The only thing I'm ever armed with is a fishing pole.. Maybe hook him to death with treble hooks..
hardwaterfishing
this law will be nice for after those deer drives and the rainy duck hunting days where the case is soaked. Also, I seen some stores around me started carrying gun racks for your truck so it dont roll around..
vister
the new law sounds great for us that make the drive, and get to the end of the woods only to scratch our heads on what we're going to do with no cases! whenever it happaens, which seems to be all the time, i would just remove the bolt and clip, and hope we didn't get stopped.but really, other than that, I don't see any reason one needs to drive around with an uncased gun sitting on the center console in the first place. does this mean i can drive with a rifle slung around my should on the wheeler now too? as long as unloaded
lichen fox
Yes, the law includes atv operation as well...You just have to make sure your "location" is in the other parameters of the law. The law takes into consideration towns with populations over 2500 but it also mentions "local" ordinaces....My only concern is are there rural townships or "smaller" citys/towns that may have a case ordinance...if so, you may not be able to go uncased in those areas...I would think however that "most" of them that may have had such an ordinance would have been trying to change it to match up with the new state regs...but, you never know!! Best to check...
FishingWebGuy
does this mean i can drive with a rifle slung around my should on the wheeler now too? as long as unloaded I actually think this is what started the whole bill. I believe Rep. Dill enjoys a round or two of sporting clays and likes to ride the golf cart between stations. Now he doesn't need to case the gun to get on the cart.
