When is the best time to go out in the woods and look for some antler sheds?

a little earlier might be better, most start as soon as snow is gone

A couple months ago here in Iowa. You may still find some but they might be chewed up a bit.

I look for them off and on starting in early March. Its getting pretty late to do it now but theres still a good chance of finding some but the ones you do find now might be chewed up by mice and squirrels.
