Creep!

I finally got a shot of a Brown Creeper where he's not totally blending in to the tree trunk. Don't tell Birdsong, but I visited her backyard while she was gone today.

Glad somebody could use the backyard. I drove for four hours in a car of four women. Of course, I saw more birds than I have seen in weeks--months. Even passed the sanctuary at Big Stone. Alas--no stops! Congrats X. The little guy has been hanging around lately. I keep missing him. Didn't you get any fox sparrows?

Birdsong, sounds like a rough day for you.

I saw a couple foxes when I first got there, but they left and didn't come back. The Juncos didn't seem to mind me there, and I saw a couple Gold Finches and a couple Buzzards circling.

Almost got this little guy this morning. Messed up the eye a fair bit though. Those vultures soared past a few times when I was shooting from my upstairs window. Would have been a fun shot!

Those little buggers don't sit still for many than a millisecond. You pretty much have to keep the shutter button down and hope one shot catches him when and if he pauses. There is definitely some luck involved. And vultures are just as repulsive in flight as they are sitting.
