I'm just going to say it!

I think we are going to have a lot of open water in the mid and lower parts of the state before April 1st! Looking at the forecasts there doesn't appear to be any refreezing night temps. I don't mind ice fishing, but I'm pretty sure I won't get another chance at least not this year.

Let me know if you think I'm way off, but from what I've seen locally the ice is dying off.

i tell you i just checked le homme dieu up here in central minnesota. the ice is alread MUCH softer than the last time i was there

I'm leaving for a short vacation trip to peru on the 24th, and when I get back on april 6th, I'm expecting open water everywhere.

the small bays are already open.. i would say 2 weeks and ill be in a boat wether all the ice is off or not!! i cant wait!!

Theres still 2 feet + outside the shoreline everywhere i went.

out by cottonwood.. the sloughy shallow parts of the lakes are opening up. my buddy said that the north end of wood lake is open and lady slipper is all the way open across or the geese are just sitiing on the ice i cant tell..
