I own a 06' X2 and was wondering if any fellow members have made any mods. to theirs? They don't have the regular racks so I've been limited in my pursuit of a sweet set-up... I wanna be fully ready next season any help or ideas would be awesome!

Get a rack extension for the front from your dealer for the front rack. That will allow you to clamp on some auger mounts. Throw a couple buckets in the rear box if you like, hitch up a towbar to your house and you're set.

I just added an auger holder to the front rack, very convenient. I also put a light shovel up there.

Other than that, the dump box is great to carry your Vexilar, Big Dipper, a rod and bait. All the rest goes in the FishTrap, which is towed.

I pull up to a spot, grab the auger and drill some holes, clean them out, jig for a bit and see if anything happens. If not, I start it up and move. Once I find 'em I set the house up, drill a bunch of holes in a circle around it and hop around, essentially using the Fishtrap as a warming house.

I find the X2 to be a very good ice fishing tool. Everything is right there, so you don't have to dig stuff out of the house, put it back etc.

I also have a plow system, although I've never used it on the ice. If anything, I would add a saddle bag to the front fenders and maybe a bucket holder to the back. As mentioned, a mounted GPS would be great too.
