So anyone looking for a Job in Nascar?

Recommended Posts

There should be a position open for a gas man or catch can man available.

What a joke. He ruined the entire race. They should have fired him and the crew chief on the spot and nascar should have parked the car on principal for having such a club headed crew member over the wall. What kind of test do they have to take to work there???? "Here you go Roy, hold this mirror under your nose and lets see if you can fog it."

8 cars on the lead lap at one point. What in the wide wide world of sports is a goin on here? That was not racing from that moment on.

Thank god the short tracks are comming.

Either way the yellow flag would have flown. The tire got away, it happens. It was a little careless running out that far on his part.

Does nascar have a policy on how far you can run out to get a tire? Once it leaves the pit box its a penalty, what point does it become a safety issue? As far out as it was I can't see them doing anything else but wave the yellow to retrieve it safely?

They probably would have thrown the yellow but the officials would have been smart enough to not do it then and waited another lap to keep it a competitive race. I think having a tire out in the grass was ok but they had to do what they did when some one-who-thinks-I-am-silly runs out there.

It was nap time after that, all the excitement was gone along with my chances of doing good with my picks.

Saw this today.

Jimmy Watts, a crew member for the No. 47 team in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, has been suspended from the next four NASCAR Sprint Cup Series events (until April 22) for rule violations during last Sunday’s race at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Watts was found to have violated Sections 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 9-15-U (crew members must not go on the race track for any reason while the cars are racing or while the cars are running under the yellow flag or the red flag, unless otherwise directed to do so by a NASCAR official). Watts has also been placed on NASCAR probation until Dec. 31.

In addition, Frank Kerr, crew chief for the No. 47, has been placed on NASCAR probation until Dec. 31 for violating Sections 12-1 and 9-4-A (crew chief assumes responsibility for the actions of the team).
