B-man715
Mike that makes me thirsty!Cool shot! I'm just starting to poke my head into the great art of photography and have a couple questions. Mirror w/black back drop? What lighting did you use on that shot?
MN Shutterbug
Interesting. Those would look good in an ad.
mmeyer
Thanks Guys! I did use a black backdrop with a mirror. I used a softbox with an Alien Bee AB400 monolight. The softbox was camera right at a 45 deg angle to the camera. I had to turn the glass to achieve the correct lighting without hotspots but with enough light to show the shape and curves of the glass. I had to reshoot it several times. The first time I didn't catch the bubbles from the 7up. The second time I did and got some good shots but I noticed when I was shooting at the lower angle, that my mirror was full of lint. So I washed that and poured myself a new drink and finally got the shots I was looking for. I only had to drink 2 drinks to get it done. I guess next time I'll have to find some more reasons to reshoot. That's probably more information than you wanted but I thought I'd throw it all out there just in case. Thanks again
