I have 2 Pflueger baitcasting reels, both with gander rods, and although im not a pro or semi pro or nothing close to it i am impressed with them. Easy casting and priced good. I cant beleve they werent mentioned before zepman.

I have 3 Pfluegers - Old President, New president, and Patriarch. Very happy with the old Pres & Patriarch. Picked up the New President, can't wait to give it a try. Nice thing about these reels is that they come in a wide spool version for extra capacity for those that need it.

I agree Jake.. You do well! And for a number of species! that is what is impressive!

thanks. i love fishing for anything, the harder the fight, the better. me and my friends had a contest last year, seeing who could get the most species of fish, i caught 31 different species, connor got 8, cody got 11, jordan got 7

I wish you wuoldve posted this earlier. Tacklewarehouse.com had a killer deal on Chronarch Mg 51's (left handed only though). I'm not a big Shimano guy, but I picked mine up for under $150. Just too good of a deal to pass up. They still have them on sale for I think $184.

Just bought the same exact reel, and you will like it for sure! Don't be afraid to look at other brand rods... G.Loomis, Shimano, Carrot Stix, diawa, etc... some really nice rods out there, don't get tunnel vision!
