Goldfish?

I went fishing today and caught this. The best I can come up with is it's a goldfish. What do you think.

Here are two others I hooked today.

I had a fun day I also caught a big mouth Buffalo the size of my hand.

The third is a bigmouth buff!

The last fish is a Quillback Carpsucker or a River

Yea. A Gold fish is the only thing I can think of that has such ornate tail and fins. Over sized to say the least.

The forth pic I thought was a Quillback but I haven't had the chance to compare one with a Small Mouth Buff. So I wasn't 100% sure on that one.

This is a Smallmouth buff.

All three of those species you caught are difficult to catch on a consistent basis. The Quillback I have spent a lot of time on.

nice catches there Gary. that goldfish is sick! One of these days I'll sure I'll dredge one up on the old fly rod. nice Quill you got there too.

There was a China Restaurant next to the stream where I was fishing. I should have eaten lunch there to see if they had a fish tank. It would explain the Goldfish.

Oh ya I love that little part of the river there. I have caught some huge carp out of that spot, and have eaten many of times at that restaurant. That island right off from the dam casting back towards the dam has done me well also.

It very well could be a goldfish. There is a lake near my house that has goldfish in it, and a decent amount of them.

I dont usually fish carp but I have the itch to fish for something that will give me a fight. Anyone know of a place around mankato that I could hook into a few?
