A few commoners

I went to Sibley State park today, just north of Willmar, hoping for a Pileated Woodpecker. I saw one flying aound a couple times, but that was it. Anyway, had a good time with another budding photographer. He has the Canon xsi with the Tamron 17-270. After borrowing my Canon 100-400, he knows he needs a different lens for birds. I used his and was not real impressed. The AF is pretty slow. I wasn't home 10 minutes and he called to thank me a couple more times, for letting him use my lens. He will me taking the plunge. Anyway, we had a good time shooting birds by the feeders.

Looks like Scarlett O'Hara was having a little trouble with her hoopskirts in the 3rd. Be glad you went, it was toodark gray here to be shooting anything. Nice job.

Number two is a nice strong image, well framed, cool frumpy nuthatch pose, dof covers the bird and perch nicely. Pretty noisy bg., maybe try a lower iso?
