Late Ice Conditions

We are getting down to the ice out conditions guys and I just want to make sure every one is being safe picks, rope you know the drill .Extended forcast is predicting warm temps for the 2nd half of this month, unfortunatly we didn't have a get together this year on the ice maybe we can have one some where on open water .Its been a good year for ice conditions and I hope many more to come.

The conditions have been great in my opinion. I think we should try to get together prior to open water to tell stories and partake in a beverage or 2. I happen to know of a place right down stairs that has all the makings for a great gathering place,

Iceman, with the 1 to 2 inches of rain we had last night it might be very difficult to fish. If we can get on the ice before the 15th the walleye fishing should be good with all this water dumping into the lake.If the canal is open I am getting the long rods out .

I think that our fishing is going to be minimum from here on out unless there is a place that didn't get any rain here in NY .Maybe north .

I was afraid someone would say that. I actually am hopeing the canal opens up in the next few days. Supposed to be cold Thurs, Friday and the weekend tho.. Let me know what your plans are. Did you get ur unemp stuff worked out??

Iceman, as far as I know every thing went good I have confirmation.I am not sure but I think the canal is open not positive though I will see how the ice held up after this last blast of rain give me a shout any time on cell or home.

Glad everything wnet thru. Just remeber every week you need to get back into and certify your week.. I would like to get out one more time for the eyes and perch but Not really into wading on the ice.

No wading on the ice today iceman the ice is still 15 inches thick and no water on top .

LOL Yes if you are chopped liver I wouldnt have anything to do with you. Just ask DC he sat next to me when I chomped into that liver at the VD dinner. LOL. Todd and I are trying to set something up. Not sure what day tho. Thurs, Fri, Sun? maybe all of em who knows.
