grpd
Many years ago i used to buy a blackening season at a local store where if i remember right I just liberally sprinkled the fish with this seasoning and then threw into a cast iron fry pan and cooked it for just a short time, really smoked up the house if i remember right, just wondering if anyone had a recipe for blackend walleye or whatever and if what i said up above is on the right track, I remember it was really good, thank you for any tips
Finns
In the spice section of most grocery stores we have found Paul Prudomme's Blackend Fish (or somesuch title). Good stuff!
LABS4ME
yep Chef Prudhommes Redfish Magic season is easy and delicious. Dip in melted butter, season very liberally, into a HOT cast iron skillet, minute or so each side to form a golden crust and walla... mmm mmm!Good Luck!Ken

BobT
I was out on Osakis one time when the CO stopped by for a visit. After chatting for a few minutes he drove off and about that same time I felt a light tick on my line. When I brought it to the boat, I couldn't believe the size of the walleye I had caught. I think it may have been smaller than yours, KT. It was probably a good thing that I didn't bring it in while the CO was there. I would have had a hard time convincing him that I actually caught it and I wasn't using it for bait. Whew!!Bob
