polarsusd81
My cousin is getting married in a few months and asked me if I could go with her and her fiance to shoot some fun photos for them. They wanted shots they could use in flip books for the reception tables. Everyone they have worked with before got some alright shots, but just didn't really have what they were looking for. Off we went to downtown Minneapolis and the IDS Center. The Crystal Court has some really cool features and a ton of photo locations all available in a small area. Here are a few of the favorites. We had a lot of fun going down there to shoot the photos. Equipment used was (2) Canon Rebel XT, Canon 17-35 f2.8L and Canon 70-200 f4L in cooperation with natural light. A couple shots, I busted out the EX550, but none of those made this post. We made it over to City Center as well and grabbed some cool shots, but I like these ones the most. mmeyer
That's a great series Tom. Looks like they will have some nice stuff for their books.
Steve Foss
Excellent work, buddy, and the BW works very well here. A classic touch in a modern setting. Their hunt for great candid portraits for the flip books is over!
polarsusd81
They really liked the black and whites when they first looked at the stuff I was shooting on the camera so we pretty much decided to run with that. She was wearing lighter blue jeans with a black and grey top and he had a cream colored sweater, darker jeans and brown shoes. The colors kinda clashed, but in BW, it works well. All told, I shot about 300 photos. Fun day for sure.
