harvey lee
I have always wanted to go to the night race at Bristol and I just got done lining up the motels for the trip to Bristol. That night race is one awesome race.I don't know if I will be able to wait that long. LMITOUT
My dad went to Bristol last year (first race he's been to) when Edwards won and spun out Kyle Busch. Couldn't have had a better show! They also went to the Nationwide race the day before. He said it was quite the experience. Oh, and bring the earplugs. He said it was deafening without them.If someone has the cash now is the time to go to these races that you've always wanted to see. People are selling their tickets online and are having a tough time getting rid of them due to the economy, compared to just a few years ago when it was almost impossible to get a ticket to Bristol and others. fishinchicks
We couldn't get Bristol tickets when we were searching last fall. None were available, unless you had connections. We are headed to Martinsville in a couple of weeks - our plan B track. Hotels were outrageous at the time, which also made us head for Martinsville - hubby's cousins live 20 minutes away.Have fun! harvey lee
The hotels are still nuts in the whole Bristol area. The night race is why I want to hit Bristol.

fishinchicks
Supposedly, NASCAR has talked to the hotel/motel people asking them to lower their prices. They may lower them a little bit, but I don't think it will be enough.
LMITOUT
If you go to flea-bay you can find more than enough to choose from.yes, last year was different and people weren't afraid of the economy as much as they are now.
harvey lee
One room may cost you more than the tickets. I searched for a few days to find a room that wasn't over $300.00 for 2 nights. As far as motels, people must be going as its full everywhere. I rented in a private house. I did find one motel that was left and that was $400.00 per night.
tunrevir
Did you check for rooms in Johnson City or Kingsport? They are close by an might be a bit cheaper. My aunt and Uncle live in Johnson City so I have been by the track a few times over the years. Sounds like a great time!Tunrevir~

fishing tech
Try camping down there if you are into that, that way you won't waste 3-5 hours trying to get back to your hotel/motel. My bro-inlaw camps, 20min to get there, my friend has a place to stay 3 miles from the track,(it takes at least an hour) it is fast to walk then drive. Enjoy the race, get a scanner with a good headset because it is loud.
harvey lee
My room is only 2.5 miles from the track. My wife would not be into camping.Scanners I have.
