Food plot seed lingo

Could someone give me a description of 'well drained soil'?

Well drained means that it is very porus material AKA Sand

Thats how I would interpret it as well. I asked because in the description for a popular food plot seed it stated: "Grows best in soils that hold moisture or are well drained." Didn't make much sense to me.

Ya well it could also mean that instead of the water sitting on top it gets soaked into the soil where the roots can handle a little bit more moisture soaked soils. I swear half of the seed company's make lingo that don't make sense

Non clay, non sand. A rich loam with organic material - will hold moisture but not standing water.
