rainylakefisher
I'm looking for suggestions on what type (or brand) of mount to use on my new 42" flat panel. It needs to be an articulating mount that swivels side to side more than up/down. I was surprised how much they cost ... sticker shock!
311Hemi
I don't have any suggestions on brand, but Monoprice has great prices on mounts (among other things). The one my parents got there has worked out great. You can google them.

hoggs222
Check monoprice, then check 3bay but the 3 is an E. You can find way better prices there.
Sandmannd
I got the one for my 46" at Walmart. Mine is a fixed flat or can fix tilt 5 degrees. You're going to want to tilt it down. If you wanna go side to side and look at wally world they are around $100. Menards had them all on sale last week.
JohnMickish
Your saying Wally world has an articulating wall mount for under a C note? Thats hard to believe.

The picture is dark if you arent looking head on. Some of the cheaper LCDs have bad viewing angles. You need to be straight on to see them well. The higher end ones have a pretty good viewing angle. I think mine is like 178 degrees or something. As for mounts I would check Wal-Mart, Sams, or Menards. The Best Buy ones are ridiculously priced just like their HDMI cables. echo2010
I will admit that the one in my bedroom is just a cheapy. I didnt think I would use it all that much and decided to save a few bucks.I have a 46? inch in my living room that has a good picture from whatever angle.I guess I would suggest looking at the picture in every possible angle before buying the mount
