Myself and 2 buddies went out... on the lake at 7am. off at 7pm.

Between the three of us we slammed 90 crappies and about a dozen sunfish..

Best day of ice fishing this year !

It was 44 degrees on the lake and the Marcum was lite up like a christmas tree ALL DAY !!

and for those who may wonder... the largest crappie was 13.5 and the smallest was 8.

We only Kept six 11inchers.. the rest went back to be found another day! Catch and release... it helps us all succeed.

I had a bad month overall action-wise.

I haven't even been marking any fish the last couple weeks.

Usually out by 9am and stay out until noon/1pm. Small jigs, waxies, gulp, different sizes, different colors, doesn't matter if you can't even find anything swimming underneath you.

I hole hop a little but this time of year I think you have to hole hop a lot. I may need to break down and buy the power auger after all because after 10 holes in 20" of ice it gets hard. That isn't the real problem though.

I think all this snow has really killed off my favorite spots. The vegetation is all dead, no oxygen, all the fish are in one spot and if you get on them they are too oxygen depleted to make a move.

I do fish the same couple lakes that get some fairly good pressure too. After being cooped up in the office all week it's great to get outside, but the fishing for me has been dead.

My son (he's 11) and I had a GREAT day on the ice. Took home a limit of sunnies, and could have stayed for twice that.

We marked fish all day, and he had a blast watching in the camera as they went for the lure.

Sorry, no pictures. We were having so much fun I forgot to take any.
