JConrad
Keeping a journal is a great idea... Looking back at the specific conditions and what was working and what was not could really pay off. My real specific goal is to fish more lakes this year. I spent far to much time on Gull Lake and do need to fish other lakes. One lake in particular is Minnetonka. I spent many years fishing Tonka back in the 70's and 80's when I lived down there. Really got to know the lake well back then but I am sure much has changed with the introduction of Milfoil. The other goal is to work hard on my jigging techniques. I drop shot quite a bit, fish deep crank baits alot, spinner baits, and soft plastics in the weeds and around docks. I was quite impressed last year being in the boat with two diffirent guys who were really good with a jig/pig combination. I learned a great deal from them and want to put it into practice. Really looking forward to spring like just about everyone else on this board!!
