Sutty
I was just curious as why people choose to put tracks on an ATV? Not knocking it just curious. I priced them out once and it seemed pretty spendy and for the price I though I could get a good used sled and have both. Storage issues perhaps only wanting to maintain one vehicle.Just wondering,Sutty
SomethingFishy*
Fun Factor, work horse, many time can go thru deeper snow than a standard non-mountain sled. O yeah and it looks cool
Dozer
Fishy, how fast can you go with your tracks? How much does it matter if you are on an unpacked trail vs packed trail?
stretch
we have tracks on a kubota rtv 1100 and wow is all i can say. it is just fun driving it in the snow. weighing in at around 2,600 lbs, it hardly sinks in deep snow. we loose about 1/4 of the speed but it is well worth it. Dozer
Isnt your speedo going to be way off with the tracks since you have a way smaller "driver wheel"?

SomethingFishy*
Fishy, how fast can you go with your tracks? How much does it matter if you are on an unpacked trail vs packed trail? On packed trail I can run in High gear at around 50 MPH on the GPS, Cross Country travel in deeper snow under 20 MPH. Turning radius is increased. lovebigbluegills
The general rule of thumb they told me at mattracks was, whatever your spedometer shows minus a third. If the spedometer says 30, you're going 20...
