Many trout and salmon are freeze dried due to the high amount of oils in the fish. The freeze dried fish take some time longer and if it is being freeze dried, you will have a mount that the oils won't bleed through on the fish and damage the paint job.

Either way, I would plan on 1 year.

Hey thanks guys. This is the first fish I have had mounted and I guess after talking to the guy who mounted it and a few other people. I will be doing the CPR and Measureing system if I have any future fish mounted. I guess the same result as the real thing can be had from mesurments and photos.

I am very happy with this mount and So far I have moved it three times to see where I like it best on the wall grin. I can't wait to get out and give it another try this summer. Good luck this summer to you all....
