Computer question, saving “Favorites” How Too??

S.D. Ice Angular

Question

I have a question for some of you far more computer savvy people then I am.

How do I save my “Favorites” in Internet Explorer? Not just "Add to Favorites" But save to somewhere else on my computer?

I have an older Desk Top and under my “Favorites” I have hundreds of saved sites under all sorts of folders. I also have a newer laptop that I would like to save most of these (but not all) and copy them over to.

Is there any way to save these to a stick or something and load on another machine?

I also am concerned about if my computers were to crash how can be sure these websites are not lost?

Thanks for any and all help!!!!

SD

Go into "my computer" and click on your "c" drive. Find the "users" folder and double click on that. Once in there find the folder with your name and open that. Inside there you should see a "favorites" folder. You can copy them to another PC just by copying that folder.

google your question and you will find a post on exactly what you want to do.

It goes something like

File>import export then run the wizard. The file it creates you can just email to your laptop computer then do the same thing do the import export thing.

sandman has the process down. Copy that onto a disk or to a partition on your hard drive. Next time your format and install windows copy your favorites from where you saved it and past it back in the directory mentioned above. It'll ask you if you want to replace the file, yes.
