bigmerc
We are planing a trip to Devils lake and I was wondering what was the best place to go out of? Is getting a fishouse worth it or is it a waste of time and go the next step and find a guide? Was thinking about going in mid to late March. Any suggestions? deadstick
Skip renting a permanent house - go with a guide, and if you can't afford that, at least go with portables and be on the move. There's another post on guide recommendations, I'd recommend Dosch or Perch Patrol.

Am i gonna need my auger extension?? Most lake around home here are getting close but havent needed it yet. Snow amounts on lake?? Mobility problems?? We are bring a 4-wheeler and a snowmobile just in case.
marine_man
I would bring the extension with... depending on the area you fish you may need it to punch through the snow pack ontop the ice.marien_man
