Lowrance Ice Fishing Portable Accessory Pack

Just wondering if anyone has used or have even heard of someone using Lowrance's Ice fishing portable accessory pack.

It works by using your existing Lowrance unit (I have an LMS-522i) with the accessory pack which has a battery, transducer, case, etc.

Seems like a slick set up bacause you can use the flasher option yet still have the GPS capibilities with the unit and its cheaper than a new flasher unit.

Just wondering if its worth purchasing.

Thanks for the help.

I have it and I think if you have never used a standard flasher (Vexilar, Marcum, ect), and alrady have the LMS-522 it may be a good option. I personally prefer to use my other flasher. Especially when fishing in weeds. I had a very tough time finding my lure in the weeds with the LMS-522. On my flasher, on the other hand, it was very easy.

I used that pack to convert my LCX-25, and it worked pretty well. The only thing that I don't like is that Lowrance doesn't make a GPS antenna cord shorter than 25'. This isn't an issue if it has an internal antenna. When I want to use the GPS the cord fills up the whole case. I only used the flasher once, I always use the graph now. I also threw away the metal bracket for the transducer and bought a foam float for it.

When I asked the boat dept manager at Cabelas in Ne, he said that they call Lowrance every couple of months to check and they haven't had any luck yet. They make a very short cord, but it is supposed to pluge into a very long cord with a resistor built in. The 332 might have the required resistor built in.

lei-extras.com Sells all your stuff.

Most people I know use the graph mode you will find it to be easy to use. Weeds or no weeds.

I use a X67c and my friend uses a Eagle 500c with gps, You will want a 9AH battery the gps uses some power.

I found my Cabelas Ice system on Craiglist.

They are tough to Find. If Perchjerker has one I'd swoop it up quick.

I've used mine a few time's and once it's set-up and dialed in it works great.

Not sure if it's just my unit or what but when hole hopping it does take some time for the unit to get a depth reading.

So I am disappointed with that part.
