Jari Razskazoff
My dad has the 6 wheel ARGO, and is getting tank treads on them... anyone have any problems getting thru heavy snow, or the muck of swamp?
Hafnutz
Be careful riding in wetlands. DNR has lots of new regs regarding that.
SomethingFishy*
If you can stay on top of the snow it should be fine. If it breaks thru plan on getting high centered and stuck or just pushing snow until you lose traction.
JCR
I have run a six and a eight wheel ARGO to my place in Canada for about ten years. They will handle deep snow very well, never got stuck in snow. It is possible to stick them in slush, although you can usually back out of it and go around it. They will go through more slush than a snowmobile, and if stuck forward you can back out. Incidently over the years, I have went through the ice three times with them amd winched out each time without getting wet. However they are slow, 8 to 10 MPH with tracks on. irvingdog
In my short time with them, I've noticed they do not like inclines.....
Jari Razskazoff
Irvdog, and JCR, that is some good info... thank you.Hafnutz, thats just half nuts... just kidding. I will have to look in to the regs, but from what I know... the trail I am referring to has had courderoy for the past 50 years, so i'm hoping maybe this trail could be "grandfathered" in?? If not, I'm landlocked by private land to get to my land.... then I really don't know what to do.
