Winter Boots

I see you are from Clearwater....I'm close by, so I'll tell you what I did. I wanted some warm, inexpensive boots ...and I don't care about fashion laugh. I heard about the mickey/bunny boots, but didn't know the right size. I found some to try at Great Northern unclaimed Freight in Sauk Rapids, just to get the size right. Then I bought some from the "E" on-line site, for half what the local store wanted.I had them in 3 days.

I did a search and found lots of info about them...make sure they are the military issue ones, not foreign made ones. Happy shopping.

Out of five of us fishing in 6 inches of slanding water only one guy had warm dry feet. He had Ranger glacier bay boots. Rated to 40 below and solid rubber exterior. The next day I picked up a pair and they were only 45 bucks. My feet got cold when dry in my 1200 gram rockies, they have yet to get cold in these. The only bad thing is they do not lace up so there isn't much ankle support - you get used to it.
