Mud, mud and more mud! That's my prediction. Kinda like this:

North Dakota has a lot of snow and it's going to be an interesting spring/migration. Hope this spring doesn't host several blizzards like last year. That played with the migration a wee bit. Reports of a great '08 hatch, lots of juvies?? We'll see. grin

I'm excited too. grin

i personally hope against the sheet water this spring. the area we hunted that had sheet water made the birds very unpredictable and spread out this past spring. on the plus side there could be a very well defined snow line and that could really stack the birds up. on the negative side, thats where everybody and their mother will be sneaking, jumping, piggin, and generally causing chaos for the decoy boys.

Looking forward to it, seen lots of juvies this fall should be a good spring weather permitting. My buddy and I are getting pretty pumped. Anyone want to join forces? We have a trailer full of silo socks, some bigfoots and misc and we are using xlandr blinds. minimize the cost and maximise the killin.

carpshooter, take me with you

lol im still looking for guys to take me! so far ive only got 1 6 day trip planned; some buddies from minnesota are coming down again. last year we did okay; shot 60+ over the course of 3 decoy hunts, but 1 day out of the three we had 41...should have done better on the other two days but e-caller issues ruined a lot of our time in the field. hard to make 500 sillosocks sound realistic with a quickly dying battery...

last spring on the old e-caller setup, we had a power switch in the blind, as well as the mp3 player. volume was controlled off the mp3 player. i think we only ran 4 speakers. this spring its going to be a new e-caller and i have not seen it in person yet. not sure if there will be surround sound volume control or not. i think on the old e-caller the output off the amp was set for quiter speakers in front of us and louder speakers behind us or something along those lines.

I just bought 15 boxes of shells that were on sale at wal-mart the other day, cant wait to put the hurt on whitey this spring but with the expected sloppy conditions i dont think we are going to take a shot at the leading edge birds this year. The juvies should put on a nice show this spring though.

i have a a sbe 2 and can hold 8, 3 inchers. never needed more then this shooting over decoys. had some buddies get cheaper model extensions and seems they dont cycle as good as other expensive ones. i think i paid around 60 for mine from cbelas. also great choke to use is the drake killer. wont find it in the store as each choke is made to fit to your gun and they also list the best shells to use for the gun.
