Lookin' for DL info

Recommended Posts

I'm planning to do this trip on the cheap, AKA guideless, but still need info on general areas to fish. On the tube, I see a lot of video of fishing near submerged timber, but don't know where to locate any. Anybody out there willing to part with some "secret" info?

huntnfish,

I'm going to send you an email, heading up this weekend (brrr) for some fishing. I've been on the lake quite a few times in the summer, I used to work up there, but never ice fishing. Any tips where I can go would be much appreciated.

The last time I fished it we went out of the access near the casino and fished in 6 mile bay.

We stayed and Woodland Resort were the Perch Patrol "goes out of" and was told by the guy selling bait that they weren't using there access but rather hitting the road and going out of different landings.

On the second of three days fishing we buddied up with a local who showed us a few things.

Planning to go back middle to end of March.

I've fished there many times. You can find submerged timber everywhere you look. Military Point, Rocky Point, Dome House, Highline Towers, Golden Highway, Stommes Addition, these are all the names of different fishing spots. All would have GPS coordinates, and if you want the most current report, go to Ed's Bait not Pete's Bait.
